Hello, my lovely people!

How’s your summer going? I hope you’re recharging your batteries and making some time for English. Today’s post is all about food idioms—colourful expressions that are essential if you want to sound natural and fluent.

What exactly are food idioms?

They are fixed expressions that include food vocabulary but are not meant to be interpreted literally. Understanding them is key to moving beyond "textbook English".

What are we going to do?

  • Read authentic sentences with food idioms.
  • Choose the correct meaning.
  • Practise pronunciation: This activity includes audio, so use it to refine your rhythm!
